I booked some work for a recent customer friday. When I got home and checked confirmation sheets,I found that they had sent me a larger port companys confirmation instead of mine for two loads. Not gonna mention any names just yet-This is crazy-big company takes a 700 mile load for $625.00? ?And some dumbass thinks he`ll keep his truck and feed himself for 74% of that????I bet they`ll be shocked to see my confirmation(assuming they got it) for a 400 mile trip, loaded one way for $650.00 (which still isn`t enough) but I keep ALL of it. Seems like we`re our own worst enemies. At least in this instance,I can see that this company probably isn`t the one screwing their O/Os and drivers.Their management is screwing their company.WTF???

i pulled a load other day with my air-ride double drop-9wide-9tall-12long-14,000lbs which paid $2,690.00 for 268 miles. i used to pull containers but container work paid so well i felt that i was taking advantage of the poor retailers who wanted to throw money at me. i certainly don't want to be looked upon as someone who robbed those incredibly honest port shipping companies
