holy crap. $15,000 to $20,000 for a dpf filter. that is nuts. i did not understand what the big deal was but now. no way. we must stop this before it comes here. why did they pick savannah to start this crap?

teamsters are making fools of the handful of drivers they have here. u know they have jerome irwin from the school bus drivers as teamster trucker organizer. he is as credible as the thieving trucking agents we have to deal with. remember united container movers anyone. shawn told me he was idiot president of that.wow what a winning team working for out best interest. our interest or there interest?working for them self is more like it. it is all good for them not savannah drivers.what we need is real help with our concerns. problems as driver truck owners we share. not this side show that came to town,

i bet twenty drivers have asked me about this teamster meeting saturday. i told them all to chill out. there is nothing for the lease driver to bring back. stand down so there won't be anyone from our company going. hope they have a great day talking about everything except what we really need.

only thing i heard good was when that guy who said we do not need a union to keep our keys in our pocket. shut them all down. that made the everybody happy. it really was a driver complain session. i do not see the teamster people helping drivers like me who own a truck.

i now will be happy the day they leave savannah. no good will come out of the teamsters. i quit listening when they started talking about employees. dirty trucks came up i another session. no one around me is interested in driving company trucks. i did not buy a truck to become a company employee. what part of that do they not understand?

i have been reading some old articles on how the clean port truck deal got started around the country in such a short time. seems the teamsters have been on the scene at each port when the trucker problems occur for the independent truckers over this same issue. many of the articles have the facts distorted because reporters don't get the true feelings of the drivers who do not want to lose there truck. instead they are sthingy fed what the green groups and teamsters want them to report. you have to read between the lines to reach the truth. i couldn't figure any why truckers willingly wanted to give there trucks up but in reality its only a small handful at each port who make into the news. all i can say they are doing a good job of manipulating the facts for the press. some of these stories are in labor news so the regular media just copies and paste it. thats real reporting!

first u have to find drivers who care or understand something besides what is told them. some of these yo-yos in savannah cannot think for them self. thats why the companies like to hire them because they run until they break their truck. then the company loans them more money to fix it until some takes the truck away. they are dependent on whoever signs their check each week, a perfect candidate for this bs because they have no idea what any of it means. if the teamsters tell them this is a good deal thats all they need to hear.
