i think there are enough drivers disgusted with what's going on here that there will be a good crowd at any meeting called. has anyone thought of informing the local media on a trucker meeting to get the word out? will they be willing to broadcast that?

I talked to many drivers over the past several days about coming to a meeting that I have heard is in the making. Nine of ten said they would come. It needs to take place soon. Does anyone here have any information on when-where this may take place in Savannah? Please don't want to wait until the last minute to get the word out. At least two weeks in advance would be a sensible amount of time to spread the word around the port.

Trucking companies in Savannah think every driver is F#@k*ng stupid as S#*t. Call a meeting. It will be packed if you guys get the word out. Don't wait two days before you do it like in the past. Start advertising the date of this meeting as soon as possible!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a meeting in the works within the next few weeks. I know several drivers who are working on a location now. Hang in there. We will announce the meeting schedule just as soon as they release the info. There will be plenty of time for those interested to make plans to attend.

please post the meeting time on craigs list,most look at it daily,and if the turn out is big enough i hope you call a week long shut down and get the ports attention,after fuel it will not cost us that much to sit at home for a week to try for changes,if we shut down for a week WE WILL SEE MORE MONEY TO GO BACK TO WORK.ive been doing this since the 70s and i believe it is the only way to get the money to survive,i cango broke at home easier than moving freight for free,WE HAVE TO SAY ITS ENOUGH NOW

yes please post meeting a good couple of weeks ahead of time in several different places. make sure that it's posted out at the port and all fuel stops. i think it will be a decent turnout. drivers are sick of the gpa and trucking company daily crap.
