i have worked pulling containers as an owner operator for five long years without incident. before that two years on a company truck. i feel it's time for a change in the status of my life and bank account. has anyone ever worked for a union company? i am thinking about finding a union company but don't know where to start. how do you tell which are union to go apply with them i know a couple of these companies like abf or yellow. do you go fill out a normal application like anyone else or do you wait on a list ? my truck is paid for so i will park it until things get much better or sell it. i just want some benefits and make some decent money every week.

You apply like any other driving job. The best way is to find out the address of a Teamster local close to you. They can tell you which companies they represent drivers at when you drop by their hall. They also can tell you who is hiring but you have go to the trucking company to apply.
