anyone ever read the lease? how many have a lease that states "lessor shall provide lessee a copy of lessor's rated freight bill or copy of payment made by customer to lessor for all freight charges billed on load moved by lessee when payment to lessee under the agreement is based upon a percentage of the lessor's gross revenue, lessor shall attach a copy of such billing to contractors settlement" i have one but it's first i have noticed one read like this. i like the fact this carrier is up front with me. how many others bother to do this?

good topic. i don't believe anyone pays attention to what they sign. it's time to take responsibility for our actions.

here is how it works . the company writes pages of a contract agreement that serves them the best with the help of their lawyer. if there is any conflict with that company . the is no other venue but getting the problem solved through their arbitrator like it is specifed in one of their addendums . In other word you play by their rules if you want to work for them' , BTW the son of the owner resembles the son of saddam hussein and there is nothing that you can do

u can sue them in court driver. i did. i won and was awarded a judgement for six thousand dollars against the trucking company for stealing money they owed me according to their own lease. within ninety days they settled in full when management found i was about to lien their terminal property.

sorry--but you gentlemen are preaching mostly to death mutes. ninety percent who buy a truck to work at the ports don't know the first thing about a leasing agreement or care. they will sign anything to put their truck to work. how do you expect these same drivers to read over a lease who don't bother to ask what the load pays? drivers have really changed for the worse over the past twenty years. the companies must love stupid because they keep right on recruiting them as fast as they fire them. the term owner-operator means sucker in the eyes of the trucking companies.
