It seems the strike by dock workers may not be avoided. What are the rest of you going to do come Monday morning? The company I work for says we should report to yard to find if we can slip into the port. Yeah, slip, that's what they said. They've lost their mind. Out of thirty drivers they can't get one so that's a dead issue. I will drive my pickup down there but the big truck stays at my house. What about other companies? Are they trying to make deals or what? I think the chick who is our company agent has panicked. She's never had to deal with anything like this so she doesn't have a clue except bad information from all the rest of their buddies talking around town.lol

I'm ready for it. I'm going to change oil,do maintenance,& install a new radio I just got for Christmas. I have plenty to keep busy. The company knows better then to ask me to be their little strike breaker puke. They have a few company moles I'm sure that will gladly go do that for them. I hope they make a lot of new friends down there at the docks.

i always take off this time of year anyway. i betting the shippers will be paying more money to get their boxes first when ths is over. i am already hearing some talk of that. like last time i will go trip lease to the highest paying company if we don't get the same. dispatch had better be looking hard at paying more or they will be looking at trying to round up missing trucks.
