i know why containers are so attractive to drivers. it's because of the false draw of more home time. the thing about trucking is that never quite seems to work out. i've been there done that too. the no touch freight is a plus but working those piers with the general lack of any caring attitude whether the dock workers get you in or out sucks. i'll take pulling tarps or straps any day over dealing with a bunch of workers who are paid on the clock while you're doing piece meal work. look at the hours we spend doing the same runs unless you one who pays someone to dray all those boxes for you. that gets expensive quick and the cheap container rates don't make up for the extras.

this nation doesn't move without trucks. sadly most drivers don't know this.
