man everyday this container trucking gets worse in carolina. i can see why there will never be money in this business. there are way to many stupid dips&*ts behind the wheel. thankfully i have a lucky niche running short haul with these cans. at least i do make money. if not for that i would have to shut it down. i don't see how anyone can stay in business for the money these guys run for. if you ate rice, beans and someone gave you the fuel to run on the facts are more then likely you will be outa business within six to eight months. that's about the time when all the tires wear out on that used truck you purchased and a few costly repairs start showing up. most borrow money from the company they lease with until that company takes the truck or the finance company finally takes the truck. it's just to simple to start into this business on a shoestring.

this was my last year. the illegals are taking over the ports anyway. the trucking companies are happy because the mexicans or whatever they are will work for peasant wages.pretty soon the highways will really be a killing field thanks to wall street and their greedy cronies from around the world. trucking didn't have to go south of the Bordon because corporate america has brought the cheap labor to our doorstep. i am just wondering how they will sell all the expensive new cars and home products to the new poverty workers when america is totally transformed into another third world country?

well things have sure changed in the last fifteen years in trucking. it's like a third world nation in the west here. i retired last year but still mess around with my old tractor. i may have to register it as a camper to continue running it around with the new environmental laws that these turtles keep pushing. we are just glad i am not starting over again. i would have to learn six languages to drive a truck commercially. this can't be good for anyone. i expect to see some more big changes within the next couple years that will regulate the rest of individual truckers right out of this business. rates will skyrocket no matter what the shippers try not to pay. they will get what's coming to them after starving us out so hope they are ready. the bad thing is the big trucking companies will profit while we suffered through it for years.

u can make money with containers but u have to stick with the loads that pay decent. if the company wants u to drive your truck for minimal wages take it elsewhere. if your afraid to tell them to shove it you are in the wrong business. these companies will only pay you as little as they can so do not let them get away with that. if they refuse to work with you move the truck. it's best to have a few other drivers at the same company who think like you. they will help present the case.
