whats up fellow can haulers. The time has long past for us to wake up and read the writing on the wall. I'm here to tell ya its a very grim message also very blunt and to the point. It simply says if we don't wake up and stand up for ourselves we will all eventually be out of business. The simple fact is that we only have 2 choices in this matter. We can either stand up for ourselves and use the enormous amount of power that only we have to change this industry from one that steps on and abuses drivers to one that compensates and respects the drivers that keep it booming or we can continue to lay down and be mistreated on a daily basis by the very people that we make rich and prosperous. I don't know about the rest of yall but I for one am sick and tired of being kicked around and living week to week trying to make a living and raise my kids on poverty wages with absolutely no benefits such as health ins. and a descent retirement program!!!! Do you think for one second that the big wigs at the port, steamship lines and trucking co. are worried about putting food on their tables or clothes on their kids backs? I don't think so!!! The time is now with fuel fast approaching $5 a gallon and rates lower than ever and constantly falling to support this assoc. Because together all of us speaking with one loud voice through this assoc. can change the way we are treated and finally have a say so in our future and the future of our families!!! There is no good reason why we shouldn't be able to prosper in this industry just like everyone else!!! The only reason i can think of is GREED!!!! WE HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE IT ALL!!! WE JUST HAVE TO REALIZE IT!!
