these rates are not keeping up with fuel prices. i am parking my truck this morning before i dig a deeper hole. right now i can take a local job & make the last few payments on the truck. at least i will have something still intact when the companies realize they will have to pay better money for moving the freight. thought i could hang on guys but i am not going to wait until a major breakdown to look for work. i have a non trucking job that i can take now so see you back out here later this year.

i think i will just drive mine outside gate#4 & set it on fire as final desperate act of rebellion. problem is i don't think i can afford enough fuel in the tank to get a good hot fire going.

This fuel price situation is going to get a whole lot worse. These boyz pulling Atlanta's for fuel and some pocket change are going to go broke before spring thaws the south land.

I don't think they'll be calling you back until the fall driver. Maybe if the projected trucker shortage reaches astronomical predictions and containers start costing late fees while waiting on the docks we'll see real money in trucking again.

What you drivers fail to realize is that Trucking Companies are only allowed to raise their rates so many times a month!! We understand that fuel goes up almost everyday but like i said we can only raise them a little at a time and only a limited number of times per month!!!!

what the HELL rule is that..... since the interstate commerce commission was abolished, thanks to jimmie, u can raise/drop rates twenty three times a day. it's a daily ongoing auction with the ocean carriers to compete for the most boxes. also any dimwit with $250 can become anther motor carrier competing in the race to the bottom between the big box retailers & the foreign liner freight. give us a break... makes no difference what the rates.. biggest problem is lack of any federal regulation enforcement over the stealing going on by anyone that wants to hang a shingle & call them self an agent for a motor carrier. very few motor carriers.or persons with that authority, give a ra$t a$$ how much their agency contractor steals from the owner,op's as long as they produce nice $$$' $ for them.it's a nasty vicious cycle where thieves can enjoy the loot without fear of restitution...
