the national average to figure fuel is five miles per gallon. even if your truck does better the smart thing to do is stick to the five mile figure. at $3.80 at the pump that comes out to $.76 per every mile you travel. i talked to a company in savannah that is looking for o-o's to haul paper back from dublin, ga but is only willing to pay $310.00. what a bunch of crap that is. it cost around $190.00 in fuel to make that run if your lucky at a little over 240+round trip. this clown says two hundred miles but that's just more bs. from the port to the paper mill it's 140 miles. from highway 307-dean forest rd exit to the dublin exit it's 102 miles according to mile post. i guess the rest of the way to mill & to port is free miles? oh yeah, it's overweight loads & the $310 covers fsc, overweight charges, everything. it's time to tell these idiots who dish out this cheap freight no to these loads or your bankruptcy will do it for you.

Wonder how many dumb a$$e$ in Savannah will pull this Dublin sh*t? The abundant sucker pool is slowly starting to thin out. It'll become more difficult for these cut rate agents to move this type garbage soon. I'll be so glad to see trucking return as a good way to make a living again.
