OK Hands. I've been sifting through the jargon on here and my greatest concern on all the 'STUFF" that goes on is [glow=red,2,300] WHAT IN THE H**L are are you gonna do when you stop driving (i.e. retire)-ENJOY the fruits of your labor!![/glow] Drivers, whatever your tittle is. There is more to life than living for the next load. These are my goals: 1) Make on average 1k/wk EBITDA as a Professional Driver 2) Put 2k/month into my retirement plan which averages 15%/yr 3) Retire with no debt in 5 years with an income stream of $37,500/yr EBT I want to know your thoughts on Financial Freedom: Are you & your family prepared if you live to long or die too soon??So, do you have a written plan on how you plan to get there & what you plan to do when you arrive?? Stay Safe and Hit me back on 19!!

lol, you won't do any of this with container hauling. maybe you haven't noticed the rates these companies are paying? you won't save enough to repair the truck when the big breakdown comes. retirement? ;D ;D ;D ;D only retirement here is what we fund for the agents.

Wow. Your working just so the agents can retire comfortably?? Well, that's your choice but my family and myself deserve better. This I am certain of: You will get older or die trying!!What is more important: The agents future, yours, or your families??As a business owner, I choose me and my family. I have been driving OTR for over 6 years and my IRA has averaged around 25%/ year ROI. During the last 2 years it has increased to 50%/yr (don't expect that every year). Now, I am looking to start a KEOGH, or some other Qualified retirement Plan (QRP). I prefer a profit sharing plan due to the "fluxuating" income stream (obviously). What type of plan do you have??Stay safe!!

Obviously, I drive for someone else and I get 50% of the load after fuel. I live in Charleston, SC. Most nights I am home and I am currently averaging around $4k/ month or $1k/week-this is my take home. I am an Independent driver and relatively new to containers. How much are you making? Stay Safe!!

Having a retirement plan is a good way to enjoy life. But some bad new ahead. We think of the United States as a progressive leader among countries. However, typically thought of a first-world nation, is rapidly losing its standing if one considers the security and life-style of its average citizens after retiring from the work force. According to a brand new survey, the United States ranks low in terms of retirement security and even lower in healthcare. Source for this article: Retirement Security
