I have 3406 Cat running rough right after start up? It clears up and runs fine after about three minutes but when first cranked skips off three-four cylinders for a minute or two. It started this around December of past year but seems to have improved due to warmer weather. Good oil pressure, temp, runs out fine the rest of time only when cranking after sitting. Any suggestions?

Sounds like its losing its prime.Maybe a loose fuel line or fitting, filterbase or maybe the transferpump. If you haven`t tried these its a good place to start.Basing this off you saying only after sitting.I`d start at one end of my fuel system and work my way thru it.Good Luck

pull the spin on filter to see if it is full. try pumping the manual hand pump top of filter until tight on cat before start engine next time. if that doesn't work put a little air pressure in fuel tank to push fuel to filters. you need very little air pressure to try. only 2 - 4 pounds max will do the trick. now check for leaks along the lines to engine or if it cranks right up after that problem is between tank & engine.
