Pro Transport is headed by Oscar Acharandio(Archarandio?) and The Siglers(Jose Sigler). Headquartered in Medley, florida(Miami Dade County) They are pretty big,but I haven't seen the trucks for awhile, they have in Charleston(Pro Transport Charleston), Savannah(Pro Transport Charleston) and Tampa(Pro Transport Tampa with Stephens of Some shipping) they also run O J TRUCK & TRAILER LEASING , and that leases container chassis.(In Miami dade court there is a lot of lawsuits brought on by them against trucking firms for big amounts) They are in House truckers for steamship Lines APL(American President Lines), Hapag Lloyd and Evergreen. they are big here in Miami, I once spoke to the owner about peterbilts he owned and he was very rude with me. I have heard but cannot confirm that the firm could be a "front". In corporate records there is a medical equipment company, Sigler loans money to start local trucking companies I have heard. He is a Juban or Cuban Jew. the Owners are Cuban, from Pembroke Pines. I know that at some point he was a Dispatcher or maybe a partner with Jorge Medina(A Shady character) or family of his, and that for some reason he had a falling out, he was with them At CCE/Caribe Container Express I heard, maybe he took some clients I am not sure, But all this is speculation. As for Trucker Relations, I am not sure. you should ask around.Good Luck.

I plan making another trip this fall to visit some old friends of mine there.

Who is his Partner?
the association are you referring to FITA? florida independent Truckers assoc? I think they set prices Locally? for all trucking company owners. a lot of the oldtimers run it, I think it's a cartel.

many of these local motor carrier associations do same thing at every port even though it's illegal to price fix rates. they also discuss among themselves new tricks to swindle truckers who work for them. it's certainly another example why you guys need your own group to represent your needs. i'm glad i pull mostly flat now but container rates lower every other trucking operation around the port. anyone that tells you other wise is full of bs. that's why i stay involved with what's happening here. i sincerely hope you drivers succeed in making a difference. if i can help move it along i do. what's good for you is good for me down the road. you had better plan on a long fight though or you'll be disappointed if you think there is a quick fix within a few months. the posters i see talking on this forum about the importance of building (#'s) are right. that's your first job on the list for sure if you are serious. the only thing these industry big shots listen to is the possibility of something costing them money or stopping their shipments from reaching their huge dc's. nothing moves without trucks but i still hear drivers that can't seem to grasp that. the power that each one of you have by working together is awesome . solve that problem and your half way home.

I think Jimmie operated his company NIGHTHAWK on part of the other guys yard who was the president of the FITA group.

I wonder Why Robert Owned Nighthawk, I know EFH/East Florida was doing bad for awhile, insurance wise/dot wise as well. I know he owned or operated once JACK POWER Transport inc Hialeah,fl and Blueline Transport /Blue line Transport miami(they used to Do The Pepsi Account). But I never thought he owned Nighthawk or partner of Jimmie. I know That Nighthawk is at the same Place EFH is. I wonder who is the biggest in miami, It is either Nighthawk,Pro Or Delta. At one Point EFH was on that list, but they scaled down. I heard Jimmie Collects cars,I wonder if he has any vettes, Robert Has a Bunch of cool cabovers,a bunch of KWs. Smith Cartage also used to be At EFH, as was once FITA(truckers assoc) and Interland Management(Medina) and CCE(caribe container express now delta)

I don't think Robert ever owned any piece of Nighthawk transportation. Partners, just an expression I used because back then where you saw one you saw both of them. I believe Jimmie used to lease, rent or perhaps just use part of Robert's company yard. I could be wrong on that account too. It's been several years back since I saw either one of them in Miami.

Oh I misread it, Yes He still does Operate out of Robert's Yard, and your right.
I think they have a new location or 2nd yard? In Opa Locka Under Zepol Holdings for Nighthawk, they brought some land.maybe they will move there? I know Nighthawk had a yard by Eagle Brands(Budweiser) in miami, Near Doral off 72nd ave near the jail just behind the Shell station and they had one Near the FEC Yard In Miami near Miami Springs/Hialeah.
Robert is the President Of Fita.Very nice guy,but hates the Union as do I, and as a bad opinion of Truckers. I think his sister runs the day to day now, I tried to say hi to her but she was rude.

Because unions are only pawns for the Democraps,Look at Southeastern, the union lost the contract after 20years,less union.they don't have the power. You need a NON UNION group, and non union STRIKE.

I agree completely that unions are not the answer, but a strike of any kind will only accomplish one thing. The freight will be moved somewhere else, I believe the answer is more along the lines of a slow down especially on the cheap freight. Learn to say no, if the cheap freight backs up doesn't that send a strong signal. But also remember sometimes you take one for the team, meaning once we all start working together i.e. truckers, companies, and ship lines sometimes you do something to show you understand and take care of each other. I know this is not happening now, and it may seem like Utopia, but we cannot just say you can't do it without us so it will be our way or no way. The freight will just go somewhere else. We have to show we can do it as well or better than the rest and that we will handle our business. We have to police ourselves, get the bad drivers and trucks out of the port, push the bad Co. out of Savannah and things will get better, but as long as there are people on both sides of the fence low balling everything it will not improve. Everyone of us has a part to play in why we are here and lets find the solution and stop pointing the finger. STOP PULLING THE CHEAP FREIGHT.

i don't pull cheap freight but twenty hungry drivers behind me take what i leave. maybe it's a combination of hunger and a few really dumb to the cost of operating their own truck. the company would love the six or so of us to go elsewhere so that we don't continue upset their party but i enjoy being a pain in their corporate ass. they seem not to mind openly being slum lords seeing just how cheap the next driver will pull to their customer for. what does that make them? acting like a responsible company is not in their hand book.
