Two drivers argued the other day while trying to pull into the same lane at the port. The result ended up with both being arrested for assault. One driver was a company driver and the other an owner operator. The O/O was kicked and punched in the face while in his truck and the other driver was stabbed in the hand and leg with a pen. I know this job sucks and tensions are high, but is this what the future holds for us. I hope both drivers are able to look back on this and realize how foolish they were. Now they are both out of the port for a minimum of thirty days and have to go to court to see what other charges they may have to deal with. Both have jeapordized their TWIC cards.

sadly that same s#*t goes on here in virginia everyday. just the other day in norfolk two drivers were exchanging blows over a chassis until port police had to break it up. it has a lot to do with what these companies are hiring with their chicken s#*t pay they offer. your sure not going attract but a handful of professional drivers to do container work anymore. the only ones making any money are those who have a little nitch they have carved out from past experience. the rest are working for peanut butter paychecks.

sad by also true. we are surrounded by rejects. that says a lot for why there is lack of drivers on here to seriously get things done. no matter who tries the only leadership these clowns look up to is their dispatch. im starting to think anything else is hopeless out at this port. the more stupid they are the harder they run to make less money each month.
