Read their contract driver front to back, all the fine print. If not sure take a copy to an attorney or scan then post it on here for everyone else to see. I would be asking right off from the start about what the interest rate is. I really think that's going to be a shocker! Do they decide what companies you can lease your truck to? Some of these easy finance companies have particular carriers they want you to stick with so find that out. If all their handpicked carriers are cheap dates it's gonna be a shotgun wedding.

Check out the website. www.LinderTruckLeasing.comAll the information is there. It's a straight forward contract. We have guys that come by all the time and we give them a copy of the actual lease contract to review before they even pick out a truck. We encourage you to do that. We understand there are a lot of scams out there, but you need to get the facts for yourself. Most all questions are answered on our website. If you still have questions then feel free to call, email us, or come by our office. We don't encourage anyone to jump into this process without being 100% sure. Becoming an Owner Operator is not something to take lightly.

Linder Truck Lines and Linder Truck Leasing are the same company. We operate as Linder Truck Leasing now because it better represents what we do (truck leasing). Many people thought because of the Linder Truck Lines name that we were a trucking company. We are not. All we do is lease trucks. We do not have freight customers. It us up to the driver to find a carrier that provides them with the freight.

This company is a FRAUD! They are out to take your money!! DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT with these people!! DO THE MATH! These people are out to RIP YOU OFF!! I was told by Gerald Linder (the owner) that if I changed my mind I would get my money back. On 6-8-12 I sent Linder Truck Leasing/Lines a partial deposit of $500, On 6-22-12 I sent another deposit of $500 for a total of $1,000 on a 2005 International Tractor. I was told by Gerald Linder that it would be atleast a week before I could pick up the truck because the truck was in the engine shop. After many phone calls he told me everything was ready on 7-6-12 and I could make arrangements to be there on 7-9-12. I caught a bus from Atlanta, GA to Summerville, SC arriving there @ 0745 on Monday 7-9-12. When I got to the shop I met Gerald and he stated he was only waiting for a signed copy of the lease from the trucking company that I was going to work for. After a phone call the trucking company stated that the lease had to be in my name & Gerald would not agree to it and stated I would have to put another $1000 down before he could do that. I told him that I did not have the money right now. So, his son (Andy) said "well we will have to wait until you pay the other $1,000 before we can do that, you can just go home and come back when you have the balance". Gerald said "To be honest I have to have this truck leased to somebody by the end of the week". He then pulled a stack of papers out of his desk and said all these people are waiting for trucks and I only have five. Initially the term of the lease was 3 years. But, he changed the term to four years because the truck had a rebuilt engine ($25,740.00 for an inframe) making the total cost of the truck $102,960.00 for a 2005 International. I caught a ride home with a truck driver and contacted Gerald on 7-11-12 to inform him that I did not want the truck and I wanted my deposit refunded. He stated that it would be a minimum of 30 days before I could get my deposit IF he decided to give it back. I have never signed any contract whatsoever. But this company is trying to RIP me off for $1,000. Gerald kept telling me that the deposit was not refundable according to the contract. But, I never signed a contract. He kept trying to make up excuses as he go as to why I could not get my money back. Finally he said "That's just the way it is". This is a very SHADY company with two SHADY characters in the office as owners. They have a little "hole in the wall" shop with junk trucks and truck parts everywhere. They will take parts & tires from one truck to put on another truck just to get someone in it. Keep in mind the maintenance cost is yours after you sign that contract.

You're A Liar!! First of all you can't stop payment on a U.S. Postal Service Money Order. You are still trying to justify holding my money when you have no right to. You received both money orders the next business day because I sent them overnight and you signed for them. So, you had both money orders....the last one by 6-25-12 and I showed up two weeks later on 7-9-12. But, you have to make sure that payment had cleared the bank...Really?....you could have thought of something better than that. Next, you add all this information to your website about refunding deposits and the full deposit required after the fact. Then you come on here and state it's on your website. Then, you flat out lied when you say I showed up and demanded that the lease be in my name. When I spoke to Gerald on 7-6-12 he stated that he had the lease from the trucking company and it was in Linder's name he was just waiting for a signed copy from the company. But, when the girl tried to get the V.P. to sign the lease on 7-9-12, he refused because they required it to be in my name. Then you say I was trying to get away with paying half of the deposit..that's nonsense!!! I would have never wasted my time or my money coming to S.C if I was not told by Gerald everything was ready and it would only take 1 hour and I would be on my way. You then say" you turned people down because you were holding the truck for me". That's funny because your daddy said it was in the engine shop until 7-6-12. You are a bunch of LIARS!!!

if u r desperate, have no credit, like high mileage fleet trucks at astronomical prices this is the place for you. this all good for them. desperate people make bad decisions. this is why trucking companies like selling their drivers company owned trucks because they get to scam them twice!

at the company i work for i see these guys come and go each month. they come in run like a nut only to find trucking is not what they expected. for the hours, money and hassle most wind up back at a regular day job. the truck goes back on the lot so another sucker can start over. these trucks get sold ten times over until worn out.

i don't know if this is a decent company or not. i don't deal with these companies who sell trucks on driver lease programs. there are many stories about them on the internet about drivers who are ripped off daily. i have not seen a good truck yet that was bought this way but to everyone his own method. be very careful who you deal with. there are a lot of good dealers who can get you in a truck with little down on minimum credit. you may have to pay more in interest but with the right dealer you'll end up with a better valued tractor instead of a cheap stripped down fleet ride. anyone getting into trucking should research the seller thoroughly before handing over any funds. i know guys around me who buy trucks off websites sight unseen sending deposits to truck sellers only their word. this is why it's so easy for these type operations to survive. what ever happened to common sense or buyer beware?
