Jim well, these mechanics now a days, where ya get em from, where ya get em from?? I started about twelve o'clock Friday replacing the ECM and Sensor wiring harness and finished about four o'clock. FI-NI-TO! Computer is good and all is operating properly. Now that I fixed the secondary problem, I am back to the primary problem(not getting fuel) with the current not being consistent to the fuel solenoid, therefore back to tracing the short or whatever. I did not know I had it in me but with a little encouragement from a fellow mechanic I saved some Duckies $$$ and am one step ahead. I may have to go back to that Heavy Duty website and watch some more training/trouble shooting videos.

I am in need of a Mr. Clean manufactured engine. I need one with 2 miles on the engine, guaranteed to burn more than 80 MPG , one that spews out roses and honeysuckle from its exhaust, one that drives itself upon being programed. I do not want the version that comes with pre-programed illegal allien computer chip. I had one and upon putting them into gear , they head directly for crowds of shoppers. I need this in a hurry because I will start driving in Long Beach on Oct 1st.. Please anyone who can help.

I don't want anything to do with any engine that doesn't have mechanical functions. Been there done that shop time spent for people to run around bill you while they work on the truck next door but you can't do anything to your own engine because of twenty thousand dollars in electronic testing instruments and the cost of parts is more than NASA has in a Saturn booster rocket. Nope I'll stick with the old technology for a while longer. Only computer I have to put up with is the one on my desk and in the auto outside. No more in the big truck if I can help it

most likely it's sucking air on inlet side (between tank & filter) of fuel filter. could be deterioration of rubber fuel hose, could be connection on filter. also on older Cummings injectors leaking could cause this internally but best bet is between tank and fuel filter air is entering system. check fuel filter & see how full after sitting for a day or over night. should be full almost to top or at least close. if not trace it back to tanks.
