Horizon Freight 2 in the same city?Miami/Starr

Horizon Freight has been represented for years in South Florida by it's Agent Grand Slam Transportation Inc Miami (not to be confused with Grand Slam Trucking/Grand Slam Companies of Mckee Rock,Pa which has Miami Terminal)And Jaybee Logistics(Broker?)which I hear closed down?in Lantana,florida(PalmBeach)
There also used to be Dania Beach(BrowardCounty/Fort Lauderdale Area) Agent.
And another Called AJC Logistics? In Miami.

Well besides Nell Eagan(She is the owner/or rep-Grand Slam)and Horizon in Medley,Fl(Miami) now there is Starr Trucking inc Miami now medleyformerly Oso Express/Starr Trucking and I believe related to the Perez Family? Of Quality container Transport(not sure) maybe even Perez Trading/Jose Perez-same Jose Perez of SeaFreight/Seatruck Perhaps? And PLR transport?Starr has been purchased by Horizon Freight Systems of Cleveland, what does this Mean? I thought Horizon only had agents, and Usually One per Area/City? Starr has about 30 trucks approx, and owner ops I believe, they were brought in 2010 and were at First In House truckers for Maersk now They Do Chiquita Containers Seaboard Marine and Tropical.Mainly chiquita. The Other Horizon Does alot of Chiquita/GWF(Great White Fleet) and Dole Ocean. So why did Horizon do this? are they going to close 1? can a market support 2? Miami Is not As Large LA/Long Beach. I don't get it?

does seaboard marine still have their own owner-operators? i used to run down to miami a few years back but no more. we got under bid on return loads back to charleston. container hauling sucks out of miami. too many sharks in the water.

Yes Seaboard Marine still runs their own truckers and house drivers as well as Owner Operators,there are more Owner Ops however, I have not seen W&B though running anymore Seaboard?

Antillean Marine On the Miami River also still runs their own a few with Antillean .But they use mostly the Name MTE EXPRESS(Master Transportation Equipment) and ulcc express.

And Tropical uses Tropical Shipping trucks and owner ops. but used to use for the trucks name' Birdsall INC.
