Start applying for those extension cards asap. Phone lines are real busy. I waited about 30 minutes to speak to a TWIC rep to confirm my info. Then they switch you over to another rep(Lockheed-Martin). Never spoke to anyone there to pay, sat on line with the phone ringing for over an hour and lost my cell service. I drove to the enrollment center to pay, and now I still don't have my card. They have a computer issue and are having trouble fixing it. Their issue, nothing to do with me or my info! Good Luck!

Hey,got my new flash card Mr. Paul. Good to go for three more years of torture. Actually I haven't been in the port but five times within the past two years so no high blood pressure here. We're loading everything staying outside of the gate. Most the time there's not one dime extra for the port aggravation so I load the same freight without going in. Sadly trucking has really sucked for months now. Started off on fire first of the year but then it's just continued south all year long until , WHAM! , bottom .. Seems like every loser out here is cutting rates to keep loaded. I'm playing equipment operator more than trucker so I'm getting my extra stick time in while truck gets plenty rest. I talked to some dumb b*tc# the other day when in Florida looking for a load back and she quoted me a price of $.80 per mile. Well maybe shes' not so dumb after all because she is moving her cheap a$$ freight every day. I get enough to go down and come back but always nice to find a load out. My rule of thumb is at least $2.50 out of the sunshine state or I haul chains & tarps back home... MERRY CHRISTMAS to ya & family!

I've been running loads out of our yard while I'm waiting for the TWIC idiots to figure their crap out. Things are the same up here. All the companies are going crazy trying to get loads covered before the strike. The pier in Boston is emptying out as the steamship lines don't want equipment stuck in the port. Been working on the side hauing Air freight as a company driver. It's good for some spending money and if my truck is down they put me to work right away. Merry Christmas to you and your family and all the members of this group too!
