these pollution devices reduce engine life and damage your engine beyond repair. exhaust back pressure driving the soot back into engine parts such as the crankcase are costly. dirty oil containing heavy particles in the engine destroys your truck. there is also the issue of poor fuel mileage but what do these people care. between the union and the enviro pains in the ass this cost them nothing. we bare all the cost again so where do we gain anything? the time to stop them from implementing these expensive regulations in savannah is now. even environmental studies have mixed views on this because the amount of extra fuel and oil consumption(changes to control contaminants) of these new engines adds more contaminants to the environment. these regulation were pushed through without thought before manufactures had a chance to even perform proper testing or look this process over

this whole dirty truck program is a hoax. we are the ones who will lose everythng if this happens here.it really looks like that may well be the plan. drive us all out of business. why else would the union be involved in clean port trucks? i smell a rat driver.

dirty politics is what this is hands. the black soot pops from their mouth when open. why are so many drivers falling for this poop? i think it has to do with the something for nothing plan some operate under. this is going to hurt each of us so i am with you too.

i read an article that the teamsters are modeling their savannah driver campaign after the ones at other ports. that pretty much answers the question there people. i wonder who is in charge? i would think they would understand that the drivers they want to organize hate them for what they are doing at every port city so why continue? they must have an awful lot of their union membership money to waste.

This program is a WMD weapon of mass distraction! They care about port security, longshoremen, implementing technology and now the port enviroment and emissions. Hmm still no truckers, take it from the port NY/NJ Clean Truck program RUNNN!

i guess the new trucks have been with us a while so now we are getting a chance to check out their progress. i see several of them smoking like the rest. so the deal is you spend tons of money for a newer truck that is going to cost you tons more money when it goes to the shop. what we will see is the value of the truck is not worth the money it cost to overhaul the green engine. i saw one the other day that had been converted back to a pre emission engine because the original motor was $20,000 to fix. this guy bought an older 1993 model cummins at the junk yard for $4,000 and installed that engine in a 2008 truck. i guess he disconnected all the computer electronics or revised them to work. i bet it is not the first or the last of this happening.
