there has to be a handful or at least a couple honest agents in savannah who drivers could work with. someone to trust. all these companies. you can't tell me not one is willing to sit down with drivers or try do something about this mess. this is bad for everyone. the rate cutting and down right stealing can't continue. this is really pathetic.

There are a few good folk driver. Maybe we can smoke them out. I know a handful now who would like to see stability in freight rates. They see more benefit for everyone in fair play. The million dollar question is how do you pull that rabbit out of the hat with an ongoing shipper auction every morning, a participant list stacked full of players who have no investment other than a cell phone, desk, chair, computer, and a few rented parking spaces? Well it can be done. Yes, a few people in this town have an idea or two on how to make that a reality if everyone wants it badly enough. First we must organize a team. A big team. A powerful team. A serious team. No, not Teamsterrrrrs, strictly a trucking team. A coalition of serious players all on the same team but from different parts within the same industry. Yes, it's all perfectly legal although some parts may require keeping things under wraps for a short time.. In this plan there are no losers other than the ones who have had a marvelous advantage scamming everyone within reach for years.
Will anyone cry over them? NO!
Could this ever happen in Savannah? YES!
Will this ever happen? Who knows..
Is this a strike? NO..
Can this be done with a small number of truckers? NO
Can this be done union or non-union? YES, either way..
Is there any fear of falling into federal antitrust violations? NO
Would everyone make more money? YES, except the current crooks.
Require transparency to work properly? YES
All truckers participate? YES
Would this interest anyone in trucking? YES, but requires attention span of more than ten minutes..

well at least sounds like someone has a plan. i don't know if it will work or not but sounds good. i would like to learn more about how it works. i'm sick of hearing b%t@hing but no answers five days a week. strike, shutdown, strike. big cb talk out here while waiting in line. no one is willing to make first move. no one has a clue what to do. ok strike. that's fine but who will go along with shutting down trucks without first listing a real goal to accomplish? i'm not blindly following an angry mob of lost drivers who want to stop work. after everything has come to a stop is not the time to go figure step 2. it's time we grow up. start by showing some support for a clear direction. my company agent says we need to do this ourselves. i know partly because she doesn't want the union in here but also she is right. if we cannot do anything working it out together what good is a union going to do with drivers who don't have the guts to unite?

no plan will work no matter how good it is without driver participation. when meetings used to be held here i listened good. there were a lot of good ideas that never had a chance. the reason is because the first thing came out of most drivers mouths was let me know when it happens. that is why we dont have anything now. that is why the trucking companies get away with the bs. that is why we have the teamsters meddling in our business looking to make this a worse mess. many drivers want someone else to do it for them. same thing with the teamsters. many think the union is going to do a magic trick and in a few months we will all be making the big bucks. well its not going to happen jack. in fact if what they are doing at other ports around the nation is the same plan for savannah then we wont have to worry about working our own trucks much longer. its time to wake up. we need to do something for ourself besides gripe. soon it will be to late. do yourself a favor. pay attention to what drivers are doing or not doing at other ports. we can learn from their mistakes.

We need to strategically put certain shipping lines under total blacklist. The kind of spuratic on again off again tactic has always proven effective throughout history. We have to plan and be under total unification ILA style. We are shown everyday the level of unity we need to have by a strict ILA code that if one of them suffer they all suffer. If we think fighting for this industry is too hard, try starting over in this economy. The fat women has sung years ago, wev'e made it too easy to steal from us. Sadly they are stealing much more than just money!!!!! PIER PRESSURE "ALL OR NOTHING"
