My topic was actually a pun. It was a descriptive of something that has an opposite pole, like the north pole -vs- the south pole, they are not homogenous together, will not blend well. So ask why? Easy questions.
Today's unions, well let me clarify, since when I used the words "Todays Unions" seems to include its members, but todays unions do not include most of their members, only the elitist of those groups, especially the Teamsters and UAW. So I shall continue with the knowledge that most of their members did not/do not agree with their position in politics. With that said, the true meaning of how Obama's administration will never accept Owner Operators is simple. You fellows/ and ladies cannot be controlled very well. You are the rouge syndrome. That is the very reason they call you independents. Boy does Obama hate that word. Independent.
Why do the Democrats hate you. Well they do not hate you, they could love you. If you give up control of your trucks and act like the good old boys they want you to act. They do not wish labor who can act independently. It causes disruption to their mind set of chain supply logistics. They have seen the Owner Operator underbelly and its not to their liking. YOU ARE FREE MEN AND WOMAN.

i attended a meeting held by the teamsters many months ago. none of us there could seem to get them to answer our questions. all they could tell us was we had to become employees before they could help. the thing is they can not explain how that will happen or what it means to us as an owner-operator to become an employee. now after months of reading on blogs like this one what they have done at other ports it's clear to me they are not going to do anything to help the trucker who owns a truck. in fact it looks like they really are out to snuff us out. i don't take kindly to people who want to put me out of business so i am done with the teamsters union.

Our old friends at the Teamsters union are spending mega buck$ to get rid of the owner/operator trucker now even in Savannah , GA. They've gone green in more way$ than one! |

How about Anne Ferro who is over the FMCSA. She takes a short trip in a truck for a publicity stunt and now like the rest of those eggheads in Washington a leading expert in transportation. This is another disaster for what trucking independence there was left. I don't know if this is really worth the trouble anymore. According to the government we should be trained not to think without being told what to do minute by minute. These officials eat and dine at the finest restaurants while we try find parking at the fuel stop for our new mandatory breaks. I'm more stressed out trying to force myself to sleep on their new HOS schedule then at any other time in my trucking career.
