commonsense I find it ironic that the trucking companies bid on this work, then complain they can't make money. Maybe they should be looking at why they are bidding so low. To many truckers leading to long line ups. Because the companies flood the market with trucks they then think by some twisted logic that we should pay them to wait, the line ups are caused by their greed for the work, so I say become more efficent with the loading and moving the containers so the truckers are more productive, their increase pay comes from productivity no out of tax payers pockets, if that means less trucks then that is the way it is. Any other privately run trucking company would not have line ups and idle time, wheather a gravel pit operator or delivery company, they just would not tolerate unproductive long line ups.

vancover will get what they need because they will stck together. try that here in virginia. i bet 75% are back at work next day. i listened to a few at meeting talk about the port meeting, the port acts like they did not know we had such problems. who believes this? who is the fool now? we will be played just like in the past when the oocva was talking with piers. if the leaders of this new group think the virginia port does not know what goes on under their nose we need stop with the meetings now.
