yeah well it was more like two dozen truckers there if that many. half of those didn't have a clue what the event was about. they just came out to support anything out of desperation.the teamsters union made a big deal to reporters who also seemed not to have a clue what the event was about. i rode by twice but didn't recognize anyone except that goofy blond headed girl from c&k trucking. she may be on the teamster payroll. that girl is always griping that she doesn't want to be an owner,operator for some reason. now she is not even driving her truck. she must have finally landed that teamster job she wanted.

why support any union that wants to do away with the owner-trucker? driving by these idiots supports the fact that we want the teamsters leaders to pack up and leave. no one wants these jerks representing us. we dont need liars speaking to newspaper people on our behalf. we have been down this road before and they are no good. they are not interested in problems we have as owner-truckers. all this teamsters helping hand is about is making us employees of a trucking company so they can collect membership dues.

i bet at the virgina meeting they don't pay two thirds of the drivers who show up money to come? that's how teamters hold a driver meeting. they hire helper drivers to go spread the word. the last meeting held a dozen people showed. ya don't need a very big room for a crowd like that. maybe they need to address some real issues that concern us?

This was a washout for teamsters. Only a small handful of drivers were outside the port gate. It does not look like Savannah truckers are interested in joining with teamsters. Can you blame them after what they have done to the owner-operator truckers at other ports?
