we have a new group called standup savannah. this is the teamsters union. their leadership is going after your right to operate a truck as an independent contractor. its more of the same lies from the same people who have been trying to change the rules for the past six years. they want everyone driving company owned trucks working as an employee of the company. they can unionize you as a company employee not an independent contractor trucker i dont know about you driver but i'm not interested in becoming a company driver again. that was yesterday. this is today. i didnt work three long years to pay off my truck in order to become a company driver from the start again. tell the teamsters to get lost. are you willing to give up your truck for their stupid new plan. tell them to shove it. we dont need people meddling in our d**n business who are not real truckers.

this same group has been around for a few years. the teamsters are trying hard to get rid of the savannah owner-operator trucker. they want replace us with employee drivers.they have a handful local dummies fooled into believing this. no chance. teamsters are only trying to increase membership at our expense. that teamster organizer is from atlanta,ga and he doesn't give a s%^t what the real problems for truckers here at this port are. he is looking at his own union job security.they are all out for them selves no better then many of the trucking companies we already deal with in savannah. only tha teamsters are worse because they act like they are here to help us while they lie the entire time their mouth moves. i do not want anything to do with their bs.

well stand up savannah fell on their can. what a poor showing of drivers outside gate #4 or was that really drivers? i road past as they waved signs saying i am an employee. what the HELL does that mean? i don't think anyone there can think on their own without the union telling them what to say. that white girl that seems to be their driver spokesperson is truly an idiot. she has no clue what she is talking about. i met her a month ago. she tried to convince a couple of us that we needed to join this teamsters event but she can't carry on a three minute conversation without placing her foot in her mouth or answer a simple questions. they have no direction other then i want to be an employee. if they don't want to pay for their truck why not sell it , give it back or junk it. then they can drive a company owned truck and be a employee. don't screw with my ownership if you don't want to be a truck owner. there are thousands of drivers at this port so when you look at a couple dozen on the side of the road it clearly shows me the majority don't care about joining with the union. i am an employee! wonder how much money they lost today acting like a lapdog for the teamsters? there has to be a way we can do something besides look like fools out hear. doesn't anyone have the nads to start another driver association in savannah? i am sicj of hearing that (stand up savannah) represents my interest because they don't.

yeah well i don't really think there were over a dozen drivers out there today. it's always the same little brainwashed teamster groupies complaining. this just goes to prove no trucker support for the teamsters latest round of bulls^&t in savannah,ga. these drivers are making fools of themselves prancing around holding signs up with i am an employee printed on them. if you don't want own a d**n truck just go drive one for the company but leave the rest of us alone with this nonsense.

The organization >Stand up Savannah< is nothing more then a sick scam on drivers. Truckers are not interested in joining with the Teamsters on their stupid crusade to force every port trucker to become a company employee. A much better logo for the local Teamster port driver site would be >Bend over Savannah!<

stand up savannah? this little group is supported by the teamsters. after several years spending tons of money in savannah they have less then a dozen members out of the thousands of drivers at the savannah port who move containers. membership is encouraged to stand up and talk stupid.
