i own a 3406 B Cat engine in a 1989 kenworth tractor. i found some oil droplets in the radiator the other day and on the cap. does anyone have any idea? don't know how long it has been like that? maybe a month or so? could it be a head?

Hi Applejuice, most likely an oil cooler or head problem. I would bet on the oil cooler myself first. I think replacement parts for the oil cooler are around $600.00 to $900.00 dollars do it yourself job. Maybe some CAT experts will chime in here?

I agree -- OIL COOLER TO START -- unless you find a little soot mixed also in the radiator coolent
