Hello to the Southern Ocean truckers who ate with Savannah truckers outside the port the other day. Hope you guys had a safe trip back ;D

These truckers own their own trucks as employee owner/operators and belong to the International longshoremens' union. So what stops Savannah truckers from going for a union contract. Could it be lack of majority driver power at the port?
Look at the front bumpers next time you see one of these Miami truckers in the port of Savannah. Most have a round ILA sticker with the ILA truck drivers local union hall number on it.

I saw one of the ILA truckers at the Wando terminal in Charleston the other day. I would like to see one of their contracts. Why does the Longshoremen not organize any owner operator truckers up here in South Carolina?

Port of Miami. What a sh*thole that port is. I spent all day in there backed up. Jeeeeesssssh the traffic down there on I 95. Never again.

yeah, it's 90 miles an hour or a dead stop. I don't see how those local city drivers do it down there. they should all recieve combat pay!
