Don't bother wasting your time over here at TTSI. I am searching myself for someone that believes in paying their O/O. It's sure not these people.

these a$$hole$ are down to averaging .80 per mile running the road. i just parked my truck and told the company i'll run the city only until someone decides to pay for moving this freight again. diesel cost .55 per every mile we drive so let the hard core deep pocket ones keep on truckin if they want. if they have no work i can take a job part time that doesn't involve purchasing fuel or wear out my tractor while makin pennies. until then it will sit at the house or work the city.

Your right. I don't know how these rocket scientist think they'll make it pulling out of Norfolk at these rates. PC miles don't even account for actual fuel spent or per mile maintenance cost. Your stealing from the truck to pay yourself. Most of these guys are already out of business before they pull the load. It just makes it bad on the rest of us trying to get decent money out of these rate cutting trucking companies.

Don't waste your time leasing to Evans Delivery. Their actual mileage comes out to less than .90 with FSC added. I will be glad when freight overloads these crooks and they have to pay in order to find enough truckers. Right now it's dog eat dog but you can look around at the equipment on the road to see that.

there are dozens of fools lined up working everyday for this s#!t rates here. i hope a few months from now the customers have to pay out the a&& to move their cheap freight. when that happens we need to shut every trucking company in hampton roads down for a week to get what we want. we also need a strong driver assoc. here that has the balls to make that work.

I think you'll see the freight rates start to increase by this summer but we need to implement a plan that will keep them that way. This old system of uncertainty from week to week is long outdated. I know a better way which would make this happen but it'll take strength within our ranks to enforce change among the old guard who wishes to retain cheap rates for the good of their shippers.

yes we know who is getting rich up here. it's not truckers. we won't get the correct answers from talking with these jerks at the trucking companies nor the vpa. we must prepare to take a stand in 2010 because virginia will get no better anytime soon without driver action. i don't know what it will take to straighten out these problems but talk is not going to cut it anymore. we can't do this by ourself either. we need you guys in the south to meet with us to discuss options.

No one I know of is making the money we deserve for our port services. Truckers in Hampton Roads are ready for change. Let's sit down and discuss a plan all parties can participate in together. We shouldn't have any problem working with truckers from other ports although a small handful here may. Who cares, they'll get over it or simply be sacrificed. This must be crafted for the majority or we'll not survive in the end.

it's got so any time i get ready to go out to work my truck here i feel like i wanna puke. we have no one to turn to or doing anything about this crap. what's needed desperatley here is a driver association that has the balls to call for action. i don't know what we can do but i am sure more than sit here with our finger up our a@@ and b^tch on the childrens band channel. i would be willing to join anyone that has good ideas how to organise this bunch into a group who can stand up against the powers to be. I'm thinking about buying a truck to pull containers. They will be overweight sometimes. I need ideas for the specs on the truck: horsepower, rear end ratio, wheelbase, sliding or fixed 5th wheel, height of 5th wheel, tire size, rim metal(steel, aluminum) and anything else that woul help. I won't be any competition to you Va. guys, I'll be in Jacksonville, Port of Palm Beach, Miami. No or small hills. Thanks in advance, 7mileman

Sure they let you borrow the money for the turbo. How much interest are you having to pay? I use to work for them and would ask? Why doesn't the CMA loads pay a fuel surcharge? Half the loads offered are CMA. It is funny how one of the office personnel is married to a CMA executive. That other guy that works in the office sure owns a lot of the trucks leased here. I can't believe that those individuals agreed to pay $400 to $530 a week to lease/purchase those old trucks for 36 months. What a ripoff. Remember this you and I are small business owners. We should make enough money to maintain and repair our equipment, reinvest into our business( newer equipment every 3-5 years), save for retirement, pay our taxes on time, pay for self-employed health insurance, hell take a weeks vacation once a year, and do it all with a legal logbook. Right now all of us are just company drivers wearing out our own trucks. The port and our carriers choose our destiny.

90amileisajoke what you said about us being a small business is very true. Every driver should print that out and tape it to their sun visor so they can be reminded of it daily . Very well said.

If your doing so well at Evans, been there for over a year and a half, why do you have to borrow money from the company store? This sounds more like a management twirp or an Evans lapdog

my thoughts exactly tommy!what a great example of some driver probably living from paycheck to paycheck after running for this super fine rate busting Evan's delivery for over a year. i bet he's buying this truck from that very same company store?

O/O IN NORFOLK AREA 25% OFF FIRST TOW AFTER GETTIN AN ACCOUNT WEST SERVICE CENTER 757 487 4420 the container truckers i know needing a tow can't afford to fix what is broke anyway so might as well leave the truck broke down where it's at and let the finance compny come pick it up. less headache and go back to work somewhere that pays real money like mcdonalds.

Hey Tommy & colt45, I think Evans made the list of The Good(?), The Bad(!), The Ugly. I believe they have gone through a management / agent change AGAIN!
P.S. -- West Service Center (maybe); But definitely stay away from Truck Enterprises, Inc.(TEI) across the way for sure!
