So then listen up lets say that if I was to stick my neck out and possibly agree to procure a meeting location in the Jacksonville area how many of you Drivers would be willing to give up a Saturday Morning to attend?
How many of you Drivers are willing to show a couple of pieces of Identification to attend this meeting only to show that you are who you say you are and not a Scum Bucket Dispatcher or Member of the Shipping Lines?
Who else amongst us is willing to actually take a stand about this and not just stand around Bull$hittin about the crap that does not matter.
How many of us, all of us the Drivers are willing to actually form a United Front and start the Movement to end the widespread abuse of us the Drivers?
How many of You are willing to say enough is enough and we are not going to allow the Shipping Lines or the Trucking Company's to control the Earning Potentials of our own Small Businesses?
We are on the verge of something that could have a far reaching impact within the Container Handling Business Nation Wide. All it takes is for one group to actually unite and organize as a whole and we can bring the Ports to their knees. Just imagine the impact of a Voluntary stoppage of Freight Movement out of the Ports of Miami, Jacksonville, Savannah and Charleston for just 4 days. Lets say we all take a long weekend and do a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. What would the result be like do you think that when you roll in the Gate on Wednesday that it will still take half the day just to Interchange a Box?
So lets hear it Drivers have you really and truly had enough of Business as usual or are you still going to straddle the Proverbial Fence a little longer just because Joe Bob the Dispatcher is a Buddy of yours and your spouses are close friends. Well then if Joe Bob will help you out with the truck Payments and providing the Basic requirements for your Families then by all means just keep straddling that fence.
As for me I am all in where are you?
