Interesting week.. Many thanks to you guys who contacted me while I visited Hampton Roads this past weekend. With your help we have mapped out a positive direction to proceed this summer. Hang in there and we'll call a driver meeting very soon among everyone concerned to announce what was discussed.
Jim

we're waiting on posting of that meeting on your forum. many here in norfolk would like to attend. we need something that represents driver interest not just the trucking companies in this area like at the present time. please help us get this in gear guys. the sooner the better.

Drivers are not likely to do anything about current conditions here in Hampton Roads. You can see by lack of post on this forum how many hands are willing to stand up anymore. I will now return back to shadows reading and listening.

When are u coming back to Virginia Mr. Jim? I think we can round up a lot more drivers who want to do more than talk about the current situation. I like what I hear back from those u spoke with last month but we need more facts to move the crowd into motion. GOD BLESS!

Hey peanut butter, why do you need someone to come into town like a container puller Masai and save the day . There are to many company wheel holders already in the VA ports . Make a decision on your own be a leader and not a follower , sell that truck and get out of container pulling . Use that peanut in your head nothing will change for the better in VA.

spoken like a true idiot. wonder why these f&$k*ng trucking agency wizards are so frightened when we communicate with one another. could it be drivers could interfere or somehow disrupt their flow of stealing in norfolk? they certainly are worried enough to send one of their goon squad members to make dumb comments.

This stupid moron posting as "JELLY" adds nothing constructive to anyone's conversation on porttrucker. It's surprising hardtime just doesn't sap post like this from the site? I'm looking forward to seeing you up here again in August HT.

The truth in reality hurts don't it. Makes you mad when not everyone out here in VA is struggling .

I try make it a policy not to zap any post because they usually just burn themselves out wasting their own time. In the end everyone can sort through the foolishness to get to the facts. Truckers serious about making something happen in this industry are not deterred by nonsense post like this individual.

Just another smarta$$.This is exactly what's wrong dealing with many of the drivers at the Virginia ports. If he is happy with conditions here what's the point of negative comments. Please don't let fools like this one slow the process of working together.
