Been at present company for 4 weeks what a joke dropped trips (regional) as well as interchanges not paid for. I guess they think we are to stupid to keep track of what we are pulling or read there tariffs. And if you bring it up they treat you like dirt. gotta move on soon DWB

hard to tell difference between these companies anymore. most are used to screwing over 90% of drivers out here without being questioned. i have serious problems with people stealing my money. that's why i have been with twelve companies in past year. funny, they all seem to care more about if you are breathing than if you are safe driver with good equipment. what has trucking become in sc? i am hoping someone calls a driver meeting soon in charleston to discuss what can be done at this port.

Your right, most all these motor carriers think we're stupid but then look around at what's behind the wheel of many trucks at the port nowadays

I don't mind working hard however I need to get paid for what I do, I am sure you feel the same way. These agents are getting rich at our expense. I would like to see them work one day under these conditions for the kind of money they are willing to pay.

The majority wouldn't even think about the actual trucking end of hauling. They wouldn't be in this business if not for the fact that it's so easy to steal all you want from your independent contractors. There are few restrictions by many motor carriers (if you can call these shell companies that) on what their agents are up to as long as they are making the parent company a nice profit.

sorry, i don't know of any companies worth recommending. i know plenty to stay away from though. i just quit another last week after being there three months. same old song and dance about weekly changing deductions along with promised rates on certain loads.
