Everybody should plan to shut their trucks off possibly a week or more within next two months. Don't give these companies any notice until a few days before it happens. If we can convince drivers at a couple other east coast ports to take part we may have a chance to get rates up. What will it take to make this happen?

bring them to their knees i say. wait until the port freight is at it's peak moment.hatch out a list of demands to be met before any return of trucks to work.

wait until port starts backing up which will be late summer early fall. hit them with holiday freight surprise party . gpa hasn't seen a good trucker strike in a long time. make sure it cost them like it will certainly cost us to stop work. it has to be for more than a week.

i'm proud of you parking yours but one truck is a wasted effort on your part. u should welcome a little unity from others instead of blasting everyone over their efforts to do something even if wrong. the current situation here at the georgia ports sucks but won't change unless the majority of truckers stick together. try doing a little organizing or something constructive about the fix we're in. i don't move unless the freight pays me enough to operate my truck as a business and makes me a profit. not everyone operates like that. it gives me piece of mind but doesn't stop the on going corruption. maybe many drivers don't care, understand the business, or are just desperate to make anything but that needs to be addressed without talking down to those that need be in our corner. i'm watching, waiting for the driver crowd to get angry enough to possibly do something about the treatment from these agents in savannah. that's when i will park my truck but hopefully cool heads will have a game plan of attack when that happens because as one poster said, it needs to be for a couple of weeks to get the point across to the crooks running these area trucking companies.

amen to that sir. let's have a meeting to get working on a plan. i don't give a s#^t what these local trucking companies think although i do know two of them who would gladly go along if truckers took the first step locking it down. most companies have squeezed every drop of blood out of the owner-op's in savannah, ga.
