would any of you guys in Savannah be interested in meeting with drivers in Va to try to work as a larger group instead of many individual groups. There has to be a way that the East coast port drivers can find enough common ground in the different locations so that we can start to work together as one large group. I met with some of you guys in Feb. 08 and it seems we all have alot in common with the BS on the ports and these screwed up agents and carriers

meeting with drivers at other ports is great for us but not not so good for companies who wish to use us. they will fight that tooth n nail to stop from happening. we always worked with other drivers out of state to stage actions in past. many in south georgia would like to see that again.

I agree but there are some fools who think this area should not interact or be influenced by others . They are too stupid to realize , by isolating this area , the shiplines can move the freight to other ports. If they are so nieve to believe this cant happen, ask any of the ILA or drivers that were around when Evergreen moved ships from NewYork / New Jersey all the way down to Charleston in the mid 2000's because of the dispute between the ILA and the Steamship lines over one d**n clerk who wanted to join the ILA

they're not moving these ships anywhere other than the few deep water ports available to them. if everyone would stick together we could squeeze them like a lemon along with the trucking companies who continue to cut rates

it was great meeting with you guys in norfolk over the holidays. as a savannah trucker i see we have a lot of common issues to work on together. we're all looking forward to continuing the discussion in charleston next month. i know more drivers from ga will be at this upcoming meeting and possibly some additional drivers from jacksonville will attend.
