I've been around Evans for 8 years and I can tell you my checks are never right!I always have tire bills come out of my check for these steamship lines when the re-cap blows out!I have been going broke for the last 2 years trying to hang in here!( Just hate changing jobs) But if I had any advise for anyone thinking about signing on with Evans Delivery! DON'T DO IT THIS COMPANY IS CROOKED AND THEY SUCK! It may just be lousy agents but they reflect the whole Evans network and if I could find somewhere else to move my truck outside of Evans and containers I would ! This company used to be reputable up until about 3-4 years ago and its been going down hill every since!

you drivers are so right about evans. after giving them a good try i am done with this company. they have no freight that pays good to haul. you run your ass off truck for weekly check to make another check until a breakdown. all you do is slowly go deeper every week in the hole. it is all good for them but not driver. only good is drop and hook loads but no money is no money no matter how decent the work. i dont know if the rest out here are all same but i am fixing to find out this week.

At least they got rid of the 2 old hags. The new dispatcher is pretty good. Keeps me busy.

this company in savannah has nothing but cheap, cheap, cheap work. i pulled for them a while back until i saw there was no future in it. believe me-paycheck to paycheck is all your gonna do. they make plenty money off their o/ops while screwing them in ground. a lot of drop and hook but you work for pennies on mile. not a good choice.

Evans has two agents in Boston and a third operating under Land Trans. The companies are hooking up with them for the Insurance and billing. Most of the companies have one foot in the grave. This industry is in such a downward spiral right now, I don't know how it will survive without a drastic shake up to the entire business model we operate under.

expect more of the same unless drivers get their act together. in virginia it's like everywhere else. the evans agency in tidewater is a den of thieves. not much to chose from in way of companies around here. watch your back and your wallet in container hauling.

I saw yet another ad from that loser running Evans . I am betting the word has gotten out on his pathetic work ethics and how he treats drivers.

I see the losers at Evans in Chesapeake are at it again, looking for drivers. Just 2 weeks ago another driver told the management to shove a lease purchase pile of crap. They have threatend to sue him for the balance of the lease. I hope they do try to haul him into court , myself and several others will be testifying on the drivers behalf about the condition of the crap they are leasing ....

Evans of Chesapeake, Virginia is no more than another bottom feeder trucking agency in a pool of green Evans' slime. They are typically managed like any pay day check cashing company. Drivers who work for this moron are desperate for a trucking job. My cousin went over there after I told him not to but he had to find out the hard way. Entered into a foolish truck leasing agreement that almost cost his family everything. These people need to be exterminated like the thingyroaches they are. Apparently Evans corporate must be a big a piece of s#*t as the agents they hire to operate their terminals in port areas around the country. They sure don't oversee any of the corrupt individuals that do business in their name. Their upper management seems to ignore anything standing in their way of squeezing the most money from their operators pockets. Safety, corporate responsibility toward the general public, or their employees comes only into play when caught in an embarrassing situation, the possibility of a government safety investigation ,or potential private law suit.

It sounds like this company has a real problem with a few of their agents. This can't all be written off as complaining drivers. I do see a few nice trucks running for them but they also have a lot of d**n junk with their placards on the door. I wonder what the O/O turnover rate is with this company?

I worked for Land Transportation, Atlanta (part of the Evans delivery group) as an owner operator for about 2 months. Each week they short me on my pay. They do that to all their drivers so the A-Hole Augusto Ciuffardi can buy new cars and new homes. Please, save yourself the headaches that I went thru and avoid them like the plaque. DO NOT WORK FOR THEM!!!

What about this company Evans Delivery? I am getting very mixed opinions on these people. My husband was looking to move his truck over to them because they have some dedicated drop&hook accounts that we can run at night but I hear several drivers say that they are only averaging $.80 per mile. Anyone know for sure? Speaking to their agents they make it all sound like fantastic paying freight but that's always the case with each one we call. I worked for Land Transportation (LAG) which is another name for Evans delivery. Every week they stole money from my pay. I make 20 loads, they pay me for 17, I make 10 they pay me for 8. In the two months I worked for them, they stole over $2000 from me. Stay away from them and their A-Hole agent Augusto Ciuffardi

same crap in charleston,sc.. the agent is a queer and his mama has evans terminal in savannah,ga. they are a family of f&^k@$s stealing money from their lease truckers. evans corporate must be a piece of s^&t to keep agents like this running their operation so driver beware!

Drivers need to learn to direct dissatisfaction to headquarter. I have done it and I know several drivers that have followed the same method with results. So, step up drivers. Pick up the phone. You can make the difference. Trust me, Yes you can!

That works if the home office is interested in a higher standard of doing business but in the case of Evans Delivery I don't believe it. They know perfectly well what's going on at their locations in the east. I know truckers who have complained until they were forced to quit. This corruption has been going on for years so it must be coming from the top down.

Evan Delivery (and their affiliates) did make the list some time ago. Time to add more to the list. Such as: Big Daddy, Universal Intermodal(aka, Mason Dixon), etc...

evans delivery is a scam they pulled my franchise because I would not starve my drivers they want more drivers. there fees are not industry standard. the driver really only gets 68.9% of gross There cava score is in the 90% they have four corrective actions on it. there tire insurance is no good they would take the $20.00 a week but would never pay the driver would have to fight to get them repay the driver. they also rarely pay detion pay I would call the customers looking for it and always was informed it was paid. its all about staying millionaires. they don't care if the drivers profit or not

However Ive heard Micheal's mom treats you a lot better. Stay away from Evens Charleston they have problems retaining o/o's i hear this guy is really a freaking f*got. he brought some boyfriend by terminal. that's his mom down at evans in savannah right? maybe what money he doesn't siphon off drivers pay he makes up doing a little cash entertainment in parking lot?
