they have been around a while. i started to go work for them back a few years ago but found a dedicated run to midwest hauling tanker dry bulk for private company i'm with now. seemed like decent folk when operating out of peterbuilt of savannah back parking lot then but who knows. i don't like on board computer logs and all that so i'm happy where at.i talked to a couple of their drivers at that time and they liked the company. i believe they are out of wilmington,nc.

no way you cant get five drivers to agree if it is raining or not,or if it is nite or day, don't mean to be negative but it its the truth,by the way im starting for horizon monday so i will let you guys know how it goes.any one wanting to make a better living will have to get away from containers.

After twelve years of this intermodal crap I have had it with these moron companies who do container work. They are all lairs, thieves, and full of sh*t. I'm going to start back pulling flatbeds again next week. I would rather deal with tarps, chains, binders than with the lowlife agents who control the port work.

Driver, I agree with you. I have tried to tell other drivers the benefits of running a Flatbed over the years. I am sick of Containers and the ripoffs as well. My truck will be paid for soon and am considering buying a Flatbed. Going totally Independant with a recovery company for the freight bills. Tired of the Scumbags.

So what's going on with your new job cheezeburger? Still there or time for another change. I'm curious about this North Carolina tanker company that I see do so much driver advertising.

Welcome back Cheeeeezeburger Several of us are going to hold a Savannah driver meeting in November. I will announce the date within next couple of weeks. This meeting should prove interesting to truckers that want to see things change in our area including drivers at the port of Charleston. We have a pretty decent plan of action to share with everyone at this meeting so hopefully the core group is fed up with the local plantation mentality that controls this port city....

we are here to post the good the bad and the ugly so i will say something good.although i did not agree with horizon tank lines way of doing business i will say they payed me every dime i had coming without having to fight for it,so i say that is unusual down here in savannah,i can also say the same for evans in savannah, not a problem getting what was due to me.Ive make a lot of job changes in the past two years since i moved to savannah and seen a lot of ugly, never did find a place worth paying for a truck for but evans was top of my list.

There are a few flatbed carriers with terminals in Savannah. One of those is Lumber Transport. Try some out of town like Ace Doran, Malone, Land Star, etc. They all pull freight out or drop off in this area. I have heard good and bad about Tennessee Steel Haulers. I think they have a yard in Charleston, SC.
