Yeah At Southeastern the Owners Angel Dones Sr and Jr and Jorge Dones and Richard Krissel don't want to pay benefits/insurance, so far only one news station carried, an Obscure Spanish one channel 41. It was on last night,the Owner Angel Dones(Dont know which one) was going to talk to the station today.. This is in Medley,Fl (Miami) ... They are ILA truckers which is Odd this would happen. But then Again What's the Use of Unions anymore.

The ILA has very corrupt local union here in Miami. Always been that way. Our trucker contract is complete joke. Its nothing like dock workers have. We have lost most owner operator truckers from union. At one time there was over five hundred strong in Miami. There are no company drivers only owner operators like myself but the union treats us like second class citizen. If they don't want to lose anyone more they better start doing better job soon. This could be good job if ILA decides to make change before to late. Wake up ILA leadership in New York. You better take our problems more serious.

Sorry to hear about that. We thought you guys down there were doing OK under the ILA. I guess it's same BS everywhere. The steamship lines squeeze what little union you have out & things will probably get worse in south Florida. We were hoping to put something together with ILA up here but that doesn't sound good. Truckers in Jacksonville sure as Hell don;t want anything to do with the Teamsters. I plan on keeping my truck driving as an owner operator not being forced to become a company driver like the Teamsters are hoping to create at the ports.
