I am trying to find out how many of you owner ops here in Virginia are ready to make what you diserve out here. A carrier who will be straight and honest and work his hardest to get the rate you diserve and show you this. I'm asking this because if he has lets say 25 to 50 trucks willing to roll we could corner some close accounts and get what we diserve out here and then expand to corner a majority of the freight giving us huge bargaining power and in affect rase rates substantualy . I am pushing and pushing this carrier owner to do this but I need owner ops willing. It may be slow at first but think about it POWER IN NUMBERS IS THE ONLY WAY we will ever get rates up and finally make a profit.

If you know an honest company to work with, could we please have the name?I for one would love to be on board with a Virginia based company. My experience with one of the larger ones here isn`t going too well although I`m not ready to comment on them, yet. For all I know right now, they could be one of the better ones.Which would explain some of the conditions in our area.I have talked to one of the newer local companies over the phone a few times but after lots of years trucking it is very hard to believe anyone.Like I said- put a name out there.

It is very hard to trust any one that promices something you have been told over and over . I am talking to this company owner that has tractors running a local account and he has new customers calling every day and he is having to turn down loads . I do not want to call his company name out as of now , I would hate to se his business suffer , because the undesirable companies out here may contribute to his dimize . I wanted to see what kind of response I got from you guys on here and how many were interested in putting an end to this rate cutting crud that goes on out here by these companies that can quote a low rate and in return pay us a low rate. Here is a question for the masses out here , give me a round trip price that would have you guys excited about pulling containers again . The move would be for example pickup load at NIT take it to Stihl off Lynhaven in VA Beach and bring empty back to ncy ? Please be reasonable .

is this drop n hook? how many hours tied up in a round? you have to figure your time even though it is a short haul. traffic congestion and wasted time at the port are a killer in this city.

Yes , drop & hook , pickup load or empty at NIT, pull 19 miles to customer , drop at dock door or in yard , pickup load or empty , pull back 19 miles to NIT . It is hard to guess how long you will be at NIT , you guys know what is involved there . Maybe 25 minutes on the road one way , it is hard to say depending on road conditions for the day. roadrunner do you pull here in VA , and thanks for responding .
